The process of selecting a dietetic internship is one of the most career impacting decisions that I have had to make thus far. While committing myself to academic excellence at the University of Tennessee, I have come to realize that a career in nutrition may take me elsewhere. A dietetic internship is the foundation for a solid career in the dietetics field, and I feel that the internship at Vanderbilt is the obvious choice for me. Being a native of a small rural community in Tennessee, I have witnessed the expertise and research that Vanderbilt University Medical Center can offer. Should I be accepted, I will begin my career as a successful dietetics professional in 2011.
